Barcelona striker loaned to Ajax
Barcelona news: Bojan Krkic has been loaned to Ajax following a spell at AC Milan
Barcelona have confirmed on their official website that Dutch giants Ajax have taken forward Bojan Krkic on a season-long loan deal.
An official statement on the Barcelona website read: "FC Barcelona and Ajax Amsterdam have reached agreement for the loan of Bojan Krkic to the Dutch club for the 2013/14 season."
After two unsuccessful years in the Serie A with AS Roma and AC Milan, Ajax moved first to capture the 22-year-old on a one-year loan deal, after seeing their forwards Ryan Babel and Miralem Sulejmani depart to Kasımpaşa and Benfica respectively.
Bojan will join up with ex-Barca defender Frank de Boer's men, and will join up to train and prepare for the upcoming 2013/14 Eredivisie campaign.
In his time at Italy, he played 33 times for Roma, bagging seven goals; while he appeared 19 times for Milan, scoring three times.
Bojan was a highly-rated youngster brought up from La Masia, but he failed to live up to expectations at the Nou Camp and was subsequently loaned out to Italy.
Ajax have inserted an option for a second year loan spell, depending on his performances.
