Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt is set to play for Manchester United at Rio Ferdinand's testimonial next month, according to The Sun.
The Jamaican has been a long-term admirer of football - and has several time reiterated his desire to play for the Premier League champions Manchester United.
And Bolt's dream is set to come true as reports claim that the world's fastest man will feature in Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand's testimonial, which will be held at Old Trafford on August 9.
A source told The Sun: “Usain has finally got his wish and he’ll be lining up alongside Rio.
“It should be quite a game. It will be fascinating to see if Usain’s speed will be matched by his passing and ball control.”
Manchester United have granted Ferdinand a testimonial before the season kicks off to celebrate the English defender's decade at Old Trafford.
The match will be played against Seville just before the start of the new season, and Bolt's selection is expected to be announced by the club next week.
Bolt previously pleaded with the former Red Devils' boss Sir Alex Ferguson for a chance to play for the club.
He said: “I know I could make a difference. I’d be the fastest in the team — but I can play as well.”
