Tottenham are prepared to bid for Real Madrid's Spanish Under-20 forward Jesé Rodríguez, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
The north London side are desperate to strengthen their strike-force and they believe Rodríguez would fill the bill perfectly, after scoring an impressive 22 goals in 33 appearances for Real Madrid Castilla last season.
The 20-year-old also caught the eye during the 2013 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Turkey where his native side were knocked out by Uruguay at the quarter-final stage.
Spurs are not the only club who have expressed an interest in Rodríguez, with a number of suitors believed to be monitoring his situation with the Bernabeu club.
Rodríguez believes he deserved an opportunity to show his worth in the first-team for the Galaticos with an option to send the youngster on loan not believed to be an option.
Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Pérez are believed to be huge admirers of Rodríguez though so Spurs may have to bring a big bid to the table for Madrid to even consider selling him.
However, with the Spanish giants believed to be still chasing Tottenham winger Gareth Bale, they may use Spurs' interest in Rodríguez as an opportunity to re-open negotiations with Bale.
