Diego Guastavino grabs opponent in 'privates'

It’s unlikely to be remembered as much as Vinnie Jones’ grab on Paul Gascoigne, but Universitario’s Diego Guastavino took the same evasive action on an opponent last night (Sunday).

The Uruguayan attacking midfielder took exception to some of the tackles that were going in against him, and so in turn grabbed the tackle of an Inti Gas player to make his own very personal mark.

The incident took place in the 50th minute of a Peruvian league match between the two teams, and certainly caught Amilton Prado by surprise.

The victim of the ‘nut grab’ was left somewhat shocked by what happened, with Prado looking up at the referee and lifting his arm up in amazement.

Guastavino may count himself lucky to stay on the field, but it didn’t work out to be an advantage for his side, as Inti Gas grabbed an equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw.
