Galatasaray have entered the race for Lille left-back Lucas Digne, and are set to challenge Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool for his signature, according to talkSPORT.
The left-back, who is regarded as one of the hottest pieces of property in Ligue 1 of late, was a reported transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain, who were interested in concluding a deal for the defender last month.
Fellow Ligue 1 side AS Monaco were also reported to be interested in speaking to Digne, but their interest has cooled following their signing of former Barcelona defender Eric Abidal last week.
But it is Turkish side Galatasaray who are the latest team to enter the race for the highly-rated defender, amid reports linking the 19-year-old with a move to Liverpool.
Rodgers is thought to have been tracking the talented Frenchman for over 12 months now, following another successful campaign for Digne last season. He made 40 appearances for Lille last season, scoring three goals in the process.
And it is Fatih Terim's Galatasaray who are the latest club to show an interest in the talented defender having recently signed Digne's former team-mate Aurelien Chedjou last month.
The Cameroon international's £13m move to the TeleKom Arena could be a starting block for any communication between the two sides, with both sides having recently made contact only last month.
But Galatasaray's interest could now spark Liverpool's interest in the midfielder as Digne becomes more and more a wanted man.
