The Premier League provides a very distinctive and physical style of play, proven by the type of striker that has found success in the top flight.

Didier Drogba and Wayne Rooney are two very successful forwards to share a similar play style, one of power and strength. A prolific goalscorer is often key to a clubs success - we count down five that would perform well in the top flight of English football.

Radamel Falcao - Monaco

The Colombian was being targeted by multiple clubs, most notably Chelsea, before agreeing a controversial move to the newly promoted side. Falcao showed a very powerful, physical style of play which has proven successful in the Premier League. This, combined with his impressive 28 goals in La Liga, make him one of the most dangerous strikers in Europe.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic - PSG

One of the most successful players in the world, Ibrahimovic has won the Eredivisie, Serie A, La Liga and the French Ligue 1. This means the Swede has conquered almost every major European league - except for the Bundesliga, and more notably, the Premier League. His large stature, immense strength and very successful goal scoring record would make him a key asset at any club.

Robert Lewandowski - Borussia Dortmund

The 24-year-old impressed in the Champions League, scoring four goals for Dortmund against Real Madrid. The Polish attacker also netted an impressive 24 goals in the Bundesliga, attracting attention from a variety of Premier League clubs including both Manchester clubs and Chelsea.

Mario Gomez - Bayern Munich

The German only scored 11 Bundesliga goals last season; however he played few matches - only 884 minutes in fact, making his goal to game ratio impressive. Although there are multiple links suggesting a move to Fiorentina is on the cards, the combination of power and technique make Gomez a clinical finisher perfect for the Premier League.

Gonzalo Higuain - Real Madrid

The Argentine is on the verge of a move to Arsenal, which I feel is a very good move for the Gunners. 16 La Liga goals in 2012/13 make the Real Madrid forward a sought after player, due to his clinical play style and fantastic finishing abilities.
