Cristiano Ronaldo will spend the remainder of his career at Real Madrid, according to club president Florentino Perez.
The forward has been strongly linked with a sensational return to former club Manchester United, but Perez has always maintained the 28-year-old will stay with the Spanish giants.
Perez stated: "You can be absolutely certain that Cristiano will retire at Real Madrid."
Ronaldo himself also cooled the rumours after insisting he remains happy in Madrid, the club in which he has scored 201 goals in 199 games since joining from United in 2009.
But until the Portugal captain signs an extension on his contract which is due to expire in 2015, the rumours will always persist.
As well as commentating on his star asset's future, Perez also confirmed that the club had made no approach for target Gareth Bale, and that Los Blancos have received no offers for Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain.
After failing to lock down a regular starting place at Madrid, Higuian has emerged as an apparent target for Arsenal.
A deal looked to have been a certainty after various reports claimed the Gunners were on the verge of completing the transfer.
However, it has now become apparent that Arsene Wenger's side haven't even lodged an offer for the forward.
"We don't want Higuain to leave," he said. "What's more, no-one from Arsenal has come to us and made us any offers at all for him. There are no offers on the table."
A deal for Bale would also seem a long way of being completed, after Perez admitted the club had not made an offer for the Welshman.
It was expected that Real Madrid would lodge a world record £85m bid for the winger after the PFA Player of the Year scored an astonishing 26 goals for Spurs last season.
Perez said of the 23-year-old: "He is a great player who belongs to a club we enjoy good relations with, but we have not made any offer."
