Last season Santi Cazorla demonstrated his talent with spectacular shots, cutting-edge creativity and passes played to perfection.
Few players in the world can match the technicality and precision of Cazorla's play; he is capable of executing anything in the final third of the pitch.
Additionally the small Spaniard has plenty of tricks in his locker to beat opponents with ease and expert movement around the box. Cazorla has all the traits needed to play in the No. 10 position, but he faces strong competition from the young Jack Wilshere.
Arguably one of Arsenal's best players and a future England star, Wilshere's game allows him to fit perfectly into the No. 10 role.
Wilshere plays the game how it should always be played: with true desire, passion and hunger to win.
The main asset Wilshere can offer is supreme and precise dribbling and a blistering change of pace. This is apparent where Wilshere finds himself in deeper positions which allow him to thunder forward while holding complete control over the ball.
His intelligence and pace with the ball makes defenders panic in his presence. However, because his game is largely based around dribbling he is prone to picking up injuries and knocks that could affect his career in the long term.
Also Wilshere is not as experienced in the No. 10 position as Cazorla, but the only way to gain the necessary experience is to play there regularly.
Without doubt Cazorla and Wilshere are two of the best midfielders in the Premier League. Both are extremely talented and enjoyable to watch and contribute to increase the quality of the current Arsenal side.
With all of this taken into account, Cazorla is the player to play in the No. 10 position at the moment - but, for many years to come, Wilshere will stride forward both on and off the pitch.
