25-year-old, Olympic gold-medalist, Luke Campbell is set to make his professional debut this weekend in his home-town of Hull.

Campbell has a huge following after winning gold in the Bantamweight division at the London Olympics last year. The Olympics was hugely supported and has created a real buzz surrounding Campbell.

He has been able to build on this buzz by appearing on the TV show Dancing on Ice. This was a masterstroke by Campbell as he has gained fans outside of the boxing community which will make him a more lucrative fighter.

This sell-ability factor is part of the reason that Campbell has been signed to Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Sports. Hearn's deal with SkySports will allow for great exposure and regular fights for Campbell. This will be a fantastic platform for Campbell to appear on and will help him achieve his ultimate aim of becoming a world champion.

Luke is a technically sound fighter with great speed and he has a very promising professional career ahead. If handled correctly Campbell has all the potential to be a real star of the sport and with his popularity beyond the boxing community he can become a real household name.

Watch out for Luke Campbell who looks set to make a big impression in this sport starting this weekend against Andy Harris.
