Tottenham defender Kyle Walker has emerged as a reported target for Chelsea, as Jose Mourinho strives to further reinforce his squad before the transfer deadline.
According to SportsDirect News, Chelsea would have to offer at least £15 million for Spurs to entertain the idea of selling Walker, who has flourished with the north Londoners over the past two seasons.
The recruitment of a right-back would not appear to be imperative for Jose Mourinho following his return to Stamford Bridge, given the acquisition of the impressive Cesar Azpilicueta during the last regime.
However, Chelsea could seemingly look to sign Walker before the close of the transfer window in September, with the England international also capable of playing in a more advanced position.
The 23-year-old's attacking instincts have often been hailed more regularly than his defensive capabilities, and Walker may offer Mourinho more options than the players currently at the disposal of the Portuguese.
Chelsea have already been busy in the transfer market since Mourinho came back to the club, with young stars Andre Schurrle and Marco van Ginkel having been recruited to bolster the Blues' squad.
The west London clubs also signed veteran goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer this week, after Ross Turnball and Henrique Hilario were both released by Chelsea at the end of last season.
