Perri Shakes-Drayton can't wait to compete in the Sainsbury's British Championships - with a spot at this year's IAAF World Championships in Moscow up for grabs.
The 400metre hurdler travels to Birmingham along with 600 other athletes hoping to book her place at the World Championships with a good display.
And she took to Twitter to reveal her excitement shortly before competition got underway.
She tweeted: "Birmingham here we come. Taking a minibus up as we do every year. Usually the bus is empty but this year @CoachZah has bought a camp.
"Looking forward to this weekend. Trials is like a UK athletes reunion. Seeing faces you haven't seen for a while. #worldchampstrials."
The Championships begin with the 100metre heats at 5pm on Friday 12th July, and take place over the weekend concluding on the 14th.
Stars of the 2012 Olympic Games, including defending world champions Mo Farah and Dai Greene, will be in attendance at the Birmingham Alexander Stadium.
The duo were two of the top performers at the last World Championships in Daegu two summers ago, and they'll be looking to qualify for this year's meet as well.
Shakes-Drayton will also compete alongside some of the other stars of last summer. Olympic gold medallists Jessica Ennis and Greg Rutherford are set to compete, as well as Christine Ohuruogu and Robbie Grabarz.
Shakes-Drayton comes into the Championships in good form, having won Gold in the 400m and 4x400m relay at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg earlier this year.
