Arsenal fans are concerned with the lack of striking options and it’s not necessarily a lack in depth, but more a lack in quality.

The north London club failed to replace the arguably irreplaceable Robin Van Persie and whilst Olivier Giroud, Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott enjoyed moderate success last season, they also suffered from either inconsistency or injury.

Arsenal have nothing in reserve either. They have the not-so prolific Marouane Chamakh, the soon-to-be departed Nicklas Bendtner and Gervinho, who has been a huge let down since their arrival at the Emirates.

Even though in this transfer window they have been linked to world class players like Gonzalo Higuain , Stevan Jovetic and Luis Suarez, it seems as if Arsenal no longer have the pulling-power to attract first-rate internationals.

Arsene Wenger should look at some other options to offer an alternative signings who will be more than capable to spearhead the Gunners front line.

Here are two strikers who shouldn't be as hard to sign as the above-mentioned but could still add class to the team.

Javier Hernandez

‘Chicharito’ has been a big-hit with the fans at Manchester United and has become one of the best bargain buys in recent times. The young Mexican was picked up for as little as £8million, which has been paid back in fantastic performances and a natural finishing instinct.

He’s scored 50 goals for Manchester United but last season he was used as a substitute to Robin van Persie. He was also unfortunate to see himself fall behind Danny Welbeck in the pecking order and Arsenal would be wise to steal such a proven Premier League goal scorer. He also would not be as expensive in fees and wages when compared to the likes of Higuain or Suarez.

Loic Remy

A French international would please Wenger no doubt and he is also going to be almost definitely available for a transfer. Remy was coveted during his career at Marseille and numerous clubs were linked with his signature.

Possibly due to money but otherwise baffling, he opted to join relegation-bound Queen’s Park Rangers. The 26-year-old scored some fantastic goals but his six goals in 14 appearances at Loftus Road were not enough to keep the club from going down. Arsenal could realistically sign the talented striker, who would link up well with current French striker, Olivier Giroud.

Arsenal need to buy quality strikers who will be an instant hit in the Premier League and they don't need to break the bank to land a quality signing. The constant links to big names will surely frustrate more than excite Arsenal fans.
