Liverpool starlet Suso has been loaned to newly-promoted La Liga outfit Almeria ahead of the 2013/14 season.
Suso broke into the Liverpool first team last year and performed very impressively in a league that requires a certain level of physicality to compete, adjusting well given his slight frame.
The young Spaniard signed a long-term deal in October to keep him at Liverpool, which is encouraging news about Brendan Rodgers' attitude towards academy players making the step up.
The playmaker recently appeared at the under-20 World Cup for Spain, again impressing with his technically sound performances.
Despite making the jump into the first team last season, Rodgers has decided that the young starlet could benefit from some time playing in La Liga next season.
This perhaps indicates that first team opportunities would have been scarce, possibly due to Rodgers hoping to make a midfield signing.
Liverpool have been linked with Ajax's midfield maestro Christian Eriksen, who you'd think would go straight into the heart of the midfield should he sign.
Suso was forced to play out wide for large periods of last season, with his preferred position being to play off the striker or in central midfield.
With Liverpool looking to bring in further central midfield reinforcements like Eriksen, Suso may have a greater chance to develop in his preferred position elsewhere next season.
