The future of Chelsea youngster Lucas Piazon is in the balance as Chelsea continue to stockpile young, exciting, attack-minded players.
Piazon made just three appearances last season for Chelsea up to January when he moved to Malaga, however he failed to nail down a starting role in Spain and returned to west London with just 14 more appearances to his name, most of which as a substitute.
The Blues already have an abundance of quality in Piazon's position with players like Eden Hazard, Victor Moses and new signing Andre Schurrle; they're still reportedly on the look out for more, with Portuguese U20 star Bruma the latest youngster to be linked.
This puts Piazon's future at Chelsea in jeopardy with former mentor Brendan Rodgers tipped to pounce and take the Brazilian to Merseyside, although it is likely Chelsea would want to recoup most of the £5 million they paid for him back in 2011.
Whether he may be set for another spell on loan or a permanent move elsewhere, it can't be healthy for a player as young as Piazon to have such uncertainty in his career and it is likely Mourinho will make his decision after adequately assessing him during the pre-season period.
There is little doubt that the former Sao Paulo sensation has bundles of talent, but whether the fans at Stamford Bridge get to see it is another issue entirely.
