Luis Suarez has been at the centre of an on-going transfer saga this summer linking him with a move away from Anfield, but the Uruguayan's future is still unclear as Liverpool are understood to be keen to hold on to the forward.
Arsenal are the latest to be reportedly interested in signing the player. The striker has also been linked with other clubs such as Real Madrid and Premier League rival's Chelsea but neither have publicly made a move for Suarez.
Arsenal are understood to have had a £30m bid for Suarez rejected less than a week ago. However, this bid could be a move to try and prompt Real Madrid to sign the forward, which would allow Gunners target Gonzalo Higuain to leave the Bernabau.
Suarez, as much as people may hate him, is one of the best strikers in world football. Possessing sensational speed on the ball, a soaring shot and astonishing ability to beat players.
Nearing the peak of his powers, this is a crucial stage in Suarez's career, he will want to be playing in Europe and winning everything there is on offer.
Without any European involvement this season, Liverpool may struggle to keep a player of his calibre. If Arsenal's reported transfer funds are put to good use this summer, then Suarez may be tempted by a move to the Emirates as they look to get back amongst the trophies next season.
Suarez indirectly issued a 'come and get me' plea to Madrid, who, with greater financial spending power for both the transfer fee and player wages, woud certainly be able to offer the 26-year-old a more lucrative deal.
The only concern with Suarez is the trouble he gets into on the pitch. Following the outrageous act of biting Branislav Ivanovic, Suarez received a 10 match ban from the FA meaning that he will miss the first six games of the 2013/14 season.
He has developed a bad reputation for diving and has had many decisions given against him due to this. Also, there was the highly controversial racism incident involving Patrice Evra, and although there was little evidence against Suarez, he received an eight match ban.
Liverpool have repeatedly stated that they do not want to sell the striker but if he continues to sell himself, then the club may have no other choice.
Suarez said that he was flattered by interest from Arsenal and Chelsea, hinting that he still looks to seek a move away from Anfield. He is a spectacular player but brings a lot of excess baggage with him which some clubs may not tolerate.
Some fans would like Suarez due to his superb playing ability but others despise his actions and would not like to see him anywhere near their football club.
