WWE came to Philadelphia for one of the most anticipated pay-per-views of the year.
The show kicked off on Youtube, with The Shield retaining their tag team titles after a great amount of team work allowed Roman Reigns to get the blind tag on Seth Rawlins to produce a beautifully times spear for the three count.
The rising stars ladder match (the world title one) kicked off the show with Dean Ambrose already out celebrating with his partners, Fandango headed out, followed by the tag-teams of The Real American's Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro and Team Rhodes Scholars Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow and finally out was Wade Barratt.
The match was basically an all out brawl, ladders were thrown people were busted wide open, and it looked like Dean Ambrose was gonna win it, until Cody tried to fight him, The Shield got involved, and then the Uso's got involved, Cody Rhodes was the only one left in the ring climbed the ladder only for him Tag Team partner Damien Sandow to pull him off the ladder, climb it himself and win the contract. So Damien Sandow now has a future shot at Del Rio's title.
Next was The Miz and Cutis Axel for the intercontinental championship, the Miz looked good, he gave it everything he had, he even got Paul Heyman sent out of the arena by faking that he had hit him but Axel got a straight kick to the face, before another one of the ropes which finished Miz off, I don't expect this to be the end of this rivalry.
AJ Lee and Kaitlyn, this was a match everyone was looking forward to, but Kaitlyn came into the match with an injured elbow, AJ made the most of the injury, and Kaitlyn tapped to the black widow, pretty straight forward match.
Ryback and Chris Jericho, this has been building up for a while, Ryback turning into a wimp and Chris making fun of him, but there was no fun in the ring last night, both men went at it and Chris hit the codebreaker at one point but it wasn't enough as Ryback rolled out the way of the lion salute and got the cheeky pin for a three count.
Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio was a match I was really looking forward to, it lived up to the hype, Dolph is incredible in the ring, and it was all going his way until AJ came out to ringside and distracted him, Del Rio had taken him knee pad off and was about to hit Ziggler with the brace when The Divas champions stepped in and hit him with her title and got Dolph disqualified. There was a bit of tension in the ring between AJ and Dolph after, but i'm sure this is a sign of things to come.
John Cena vs Mark Henry was one of those matches where you knew the outcome already, Mark hit john with the Worlds Strongest Slam for a two count, John finally lifted Mark for the AA for a two count, John had Henry in the STFU but he moved to the ropes, but the second time Henry tapped and Cena retained his title.
The main event, the All-stars match, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Sheamus, CM Punk, RVD and Christian all in the ring in this mass brawl, the turning point of the match was when Sheamus was thrown off the top rope, and through a ladder, that had him out, Axel then came out to help Punk and attacked Daniel Bryan with a chair , that was him essentially out, Heyman then attacked Punk with a ladder hitting him in the face, that was him gone, that left Christian and RVD in the ring, the returning mr money in the bank frog-splashed Captain Charisma from the top of a ladder to take him out, It looked like RVD would win this one before Randy delivered an amazing RKO in mid air to him to climb the ladder and retrieve the case. Orton is mr money in the bank.
All-in-all a good show, no titles changed hands but the seeds for the rivalries that will lead up to SummerSlam were planted and it looks like it's going to be an entertaining few weeks.
