Manchester United lose first game under David Moyes

Manchester United lost their first game under David Moyes' control, as the English champions first pre-season game ended in a 1-0 defeat as Teeratep Winothai gave the Singha All-Stars victory in Bangkok.

A lot was expected of Moyes ahead of the game with many of the supporters believing that it would be a comfortable victory, but the All-Stars put up a good battle.

United started the game poorly and kept giving the ball away too easily in the final third as many of the United players looked unfit.

Adnan Januzaj was one of United best players during the match by creating many chances for the rest of the team.

The 18-year-old was offered a chance to showcase his skill to the newly-appointed Moyes and he didn't disappoint.

United lacked options in the forward department with Danny Welbeck being the only out-and-out striker in the squad after Wayne Rooney was sent home after his hamstring injury.

Welbeck had one of the best opportunities for United but pulled his shot wide.

Teeratep put his team in front five minutes after the restart, putting the ball past United keeper Ben Amos' near post after two earlier failed attempts.

United started to take control of the game in the last 30 minutes but failed to pull off a famous comeback that they've been known to do over the past decades.

United's only other chance fell to United's new signing Wilfried Zaha - who curled a shot against the post.
