Chelsea: Return of the Drog?

Published 11 Comments

The man that guided Chelsea to a UEFA Champions League victory is once again in the sights of Jose Mourinho.

Before leaving to Shanghai, and now currently at Galatasaray, Didier Drogba was a symbol of Chelsea, and its rise to fame.

He won the FA Cup with the Blues against Manchester United - a last gasp stretch for the ball after some brilliant teamwork from Mourinho’s 2006/2007 team.

And just when it looked all but over in the 2012 UEFA Champions League final against Bayern Munich, at the Allianz Arena, Didier Drogba clinched a last-minute equaliser, which ultimately, and indirectly, won it for the Blues.

Now Jose Mourinho wants Ivorian hitman to return to his Kingdom, where he can inspire young athletes, under the auspices of John Terry, Frank Lampard and the Portuguese manager himself.

Roman Abramovich has urged Mourinho to focus and show intent in producing young superstars of the next generation.

And who better than 'King Drogba' to take centre stage .

Chelsea already possesses some talented young individuals. Individuals gaining attention from elite clubs, earning YouTube video hits and inspiring more and younger players to take the chance and chase their dreams.

And with the guidance of 'King Drog', a Chelsea Legend, that in itself, speaks of the love and gratitude this man has for the club. Well then these youngsters will be getting the best education.
