Brazilian forward gets 14-match ban for high kick

South American football is fertile ground for clips of outrageous skill and terrible violence - and unfortunately this is the latter.

Brazilian forward Smith, plying his trade in the Peruvian second division, was sent off for a disgraceful kung-fu style kick on one of his Deportivo Municipal opponents.

The Alianza Universidad striker saw red and has since collected a 14-match ban for the incident.

It's high and late, and altogether not that flattering for the Alianza forward.
