David Moyes is ready to thrown Nani a Manchester United lifeline by offering him a new contract to remain at Old Trafford.
Nani was reportedly on the verge of leaving this summer, with Monaco chief among a host of suitors, but the Daily Mail are now reporting that Moyes wants to give him another chance.
Sir Alex Ferguson appeared to have given up hope of getting consistent performances out of Nani, as he was being picked less and there seemed to be no resolution in sight in negotiations over a new contract.
However, the report claims the new Manchester United manager is ready to offer Nani a chance to prove his worth once more.
This show of faith will mean the offer of a new contract for the 26-year-old, though no details are given as to what would be on offer.
Nani joined Manchester United as a teenager from Sporting Lisbon in a deal worth £17million back in 2007.
However, the Red Devils may have to make a sizeable offer if that period is to be extended, as his other reported suitors in Monaco and Anzhi Makhachkala are some serious spending power.
