New Sunderland signing Emanuele Giaccherini has said that he is delighted to have signed for the Black Cats and that he can't wait to get started.
Giaccherini's transfer is a major coup for Paolo Di Canio's side and is one of the most intriguing signings so far this summer.
Speaking to the Hartlepool Mail about his move, he said: “I’m really happy.
“I want to do great things for Sunderland - I arrive here with great enthusiasm, a desire to do well, to start again - the Premier is the best league in the world and I’m ready.
“I’m feeling some beautiful sensations. This is a wonderful adventure.”
“I spoke with Paolo Di Canio yesterday and I think he will be fundamental for me, seeing as I don’t know the language very well.”
Giaccherini found himself on the fringes of Juve's squad last season - playing 21 times - but will be a key-player for Sunderland as they look to improve on last season's display under their new manager.
The 28-year-old has recently impressed for Italy at the Confederations Cup and will be hoping to carry that form into the new Premier League campaign.
Di Canio's men start the season with a home match against Fulham on August 17th.
