Zenit St. Petersburg have joined the hunt for highly-rated Brazilian Leandro Damiao, with Tottenham and Southampton also interested.
Saints and Spurs have both been linked with making a move for the 23-year-old but Zenit may act first to bring the striker to Russia, according to talkSPORT.
It is understood that Internacional want in excess of £20million if they are to part with their key player - and that may be why Premier League clubs have stalled on making a formal offer thus far.
Damiao has said that he will not, simply, pick a team that are playing in the Champions League as his next club - insisting that there are other factors that need to be considered.
That has given Southampton hope that they could land the striker as they look to further add to their squad, after the impressive addition of Victor Wanyama from Celtic.
Spurs, meanwhile, are in the hunt for a striker and have long been linked with Damiao - who Andre Villas-Boas is a known fan of.
But Zenit's interest in signing the clinical frontman will be a worry, due to the side's financial clout.
