Gareth Bale was inaugurated into Premier League folklore, following his clean sweep of all the individual titles last season.
He is the first player since Cristiano Ronaldo, in 06/07, to win all three PFA trophies at the end of a season.
He stunned fans with his awe-inspiring speed, dribbling and incredible shooting ability.
He, last season, has matured and honed his free-kicking taking allowing himself to be nearly superior to his opponent on almost every level.
Luis Suarez, amidst controversy, was on incredible form last season and technically speaking was head and shoulders above any other player. His first-touch, dribbling, close control and finishing was supremely impressive.
Despite his on-the-field antics, which included bites and dives, he was extremely unfortunate to miss out on any PFA’s.
Gareth Bale has extensively been linked to Real Madrid, as has Luis Suarez and it’d be hard for either player to turn down a chance to represent Los Blancos. However the Premier League needs to keep and bring in new stars. The departures of Cesc Fabregas, Cristiano Ronaldo and recently Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli show the disappearance of the Premier League’s biggest idols.
Moreover the recent rejections from the much coveted Edison Cavani, recently of Paris Saint-German, Neymar to Barcelona and Ramadel Falcao of AS Monaco, shows that the Premier League has definitely lost an attraction level compared to the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Liga BBVA.
The last real superstar the Premier League successfully imported was and is Chelsea’s Eden Hazard. The Belgian starlet was tracked, seemingly by everybody, and opted to ply his trade in England.
With the possibilities of Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez and Wayne Rooney leaving the Premier League - who can become the pin-up boy for English football?
