Sevilla's club president has revealed Alvaro Negredo is close to wrapping up his transfer to Manchester City. The Spain international scored 25 goals last season, and is set to link up with former-Sevilla teammate Jesus Navas at the Etihad Stadium.

Zenit St Petersburg have joined the chase for Tottenham transfer target Leandro Damiao. Internacional want £20m for the Brazilian forward, who says he's not fussed about playing in the Champions League next season.

Jonny Evans admits it's been a tough start to pre-season for Manchester United players following their 1-0 defeat to the Singha All-Star XI. And the United centre-back revealed David Moyes had the squad in for training a week before the tour started.

Sergio Busquets has signed a contract extension with Barcelona, the club has confirmed. The 25-year-old midfielder has extended his stay at the Nou Camp until June 2018, while his buyout clause his been bumped up to €150m.
