Despite Bayern Munich making some terrific additions this summer, it's inevitable that some star players will be unsettled come the end of the year.
The 2012/13 season saw the German giants put together a masterclass.
The treble winners outclassed their opponents, and proved the Bundesliga inferior to them.
The offseason has already seen a few positive changes in Munich. Jan Kirchhoff was signed as cover for the injured Holger Badstuber, and Mario Götze was snatched right from under their rivals nose.
While the acquisition of Götze is invaluable, it seems to have created an excess of attacking talent in Baveria.
So the question is, what combination of attackers can Bayern field next season?
Xherdan Shaqiri; Mario Gotze; Thomas Müller
This combination adds speed and forward drive to the attack. Müller’s aerial presence can also prosper with crosses from the left hand side.
Mario Gotze; Toni Kroos; Thomas Müller
In football, managers must adjust their lineups in the case of injuries and poor form. Should the natural wingers be kept out of lineup, we could see these three attackers work their way up the field with sound passing.
Franck Ribéry; Thomas Müller; Arjen Robben
A team simply would not pay £31.5 million to have a player sit on the bench. However, if the wingers find form and Müller racks up the goals, Götze may find himself playing second fiddle.
Franck Ribéry; Mario Gotze; Thomas Müller
This formation sees Götze in his natural midfield position, with the most common wide players from last season featured.
Franck Ribéry; Mario Gotze; Arjen Robben
Robben is due for a starting spot after finally putting together a consistent 2012-13 campaign. In this traditional formation, the wingers will cut in to get shots on target, while Mario Gómez and Mario Mandžukić will thrive off through balls from Götze.
