Manchester City will sign Sevilla star forward Alvaro Negredo, if he passes a medical in the coming days.
With the departure of Carlos Tevez, City only have Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko at their disposal, however Negredo will now complete a £20 million move to the Etihad.
In a statement this evening, Sevilla said: "It's official: Alvaro Negredo is the new player of Manchester City, pending medical examinations."
This will be Manchester City's second signing from Sevilla this summer, after capturing Spain star Jesus Navas for around £15m earlier on in the transfer window.
Negredo has been exceptional for Sevilla, scoring 70 goals in one hundred and thirty-nine games for the Spanish club.
He has also represented Spain 14 times, scoring six goals. The striker is very athletic, big, strong and great in the air and puts defenders under constant pressure from set pieces.
The Etihad outfit will hope Negredo can score the goals to help them reclaim the title from Manchester United in the 2013/14 season.
