Liverpool forward Dani Pacheco is closing in on a move to Celta Vigo, according to the Daily Mail.

The Spaniard was left behind by Brendan Rodgers while the rest of the Liverpool squad travelled for the pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia.

He was initially set to join the Reds party but pulled out at the last minute, reportedly to discuss his future at the club.

And the report claims he's now set for an Anfield exit, on loan at first.

Celta Vigo are thought to be the club in talks with the forward, who joined Liverpool from Barcelona's famous La Masia academy.

The 22-year-old has found first-team opportunities difficult to come by on Merseyside, with Suso and Raheem Sterling leapfrogging him in the pecking order.

He's made just five Premier League appearances for Liverpool, and spent the latter part of last season on loan at Segunda Division B side Huesca.

He impressed on his return to Spain, scoring five times from 19 appearances.

And Celta Vigo want to bring him back next season on loan, with a view to a permanent move.

With youngster Jordan Ibe also impressing during the Liverpool pre-season, Rodgers may feel he has enough options in attacking areas without Pacheco.
