New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has swerved questions about former teammate Aaron Hernandez, who was recently charged with murder.
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the charge but remains under arrest, with the former Patriots star accused of killing 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, whose body was found at an industrial park near the home of the former.
Gronkowski, speaking to CBS to promote his book, was asked for his reaction to the arrest of Hernandez, but refused to respond to the question from interviewer Don Dahler in the way he would have hoped.
The 24-year-old quickly attempted to move the subject away from Hernandez - replying simply by saying 'next question' - and was clearly perturbed by the line of enquiry.
Despite Gronkowski's reluctance to speak about Hernandez, Dahler persisted with questions about his former Pats pal, and even turned to the father of the former - who was also being interviewed - to garner his own reaction.
This led to Gronkowski threatening to walk away from the interview, before calm was restored and the questioning was able to be completed.
