Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted both David Luiz and Juan Mata are not going anywhere this summer, amid speculation surrounding their futures at Stamford Bridge.

Reports on Wednesday claimed that Chelsea had offered Manchester United one of Mata or Luiz plus £10million in exchange for striker Wayne Rooney.

This was angrily denied by Blues officials, before Mourinho confirmed there had been a bid for Rooney but that it was for cash only and no players had been offered.

Chelsea’s denials come in a summer where both Mata and Luiz had been linked with moves away from west London.

Spanish champions Barcelona are reportedly interested in both players, while Manchester United were this week credited with an interest in Luiz.

Mourinho was asked whether either Mata or Luiz could be leaving Chelsea this season and his response was forthright: “No chance. No chance."

The Brazilian centre-back told press in Brazil that he was unhappy with the reports linking him with a move away from Stamford Bridge, insisting he was happy and wanted to stay.
