Fernando Torres will refuse to leave Chelsea even if the London club sign Wayne Rooney, according to the Daily Mail.
Torres has had a relatively unsuccessful time at Chelsea, having only scored 34 goals in 131 appearances since joining the club for a record £50million fee.
If Chelsea win the race to sign Rooney, Torres is expected to be sold.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho declared that Rooney was the London club's only target this transfer window.
Torres is said to be settled in London despite his overall poor form at Chelsea.
There had been times in the past where he considered leaving - but now he doesn't want any more changes in his life.
The 29-year-old also has three years remaining on his current contract at Chelsea and he plans to see it out and maybe even finish his career at the club.
Torres clearly wants to prove his doubters wrong and claims he has finished his transitional period at Chelsea.
Last season saw an upturn in form for Torres where he notched 22 goals in all competitions.
Mourinho recently described Torres as 'so-so' and it is believed that the Portuguese manager would prefer to work with Rooney.
Torres has been linked with a whole host of European clubs this summer, including both Arsenal and Barcelona.
Rooney joining Chelsea may well spell the end for one Chelsea striker - but Torres looks like he won't go down without a fight.
