AC Milan are reportedly in the running for Lazio midfielder Hernanes, according to Goal.com, with the midfielder having hinted that he may be open for a move away from the club this summer.
The Brazilian had a great season with the Serie A outfit last year and caught the eye of several of Europe's top clubs, including Inter, PSG and Milan. He boasts an impressive goalscoring record for a central-midfielder, with 29 goals in 100 appearances for Lazio.
The 28-year-old was recently on display for the Brazil national team during their Confederations Cup triumph, and on his return to Italy, he refused to rule out a possible transfer.
"I'll be going back to Lazio," he told Globo. "Only time will tell what happens next. However, I will soon be returning to training with the Biancocelesti."
Hernanes is considered to be a vital player at the Stadio Olimpico, but he may seek a move as the club failed to qualify for the European competitions last season, narrowly missing out on a Europa League place.
Although, Lazio president Claudio Lotito has previously rubbished claims that the playmaker will be sold this summer. He joined the club from Sao Paulo in 2010 and has since been regarded as a top player and a regular fixture in the Brazil squad.
