Chelsea youngster Josh McEachran has reached a make or break stage in his career.
The England U-21 International spent last season out on loan at Middlesbrough, racking up 38 Championship appearances, now he seems set for another 12-months away from The Bridge.
McEachran admitted that if Mourinho chooses to send him out on loan he will happily do so. One thing is for sure, having recently turned 20 it is vital he gains some experience at the top level with his midfield competitors Marco van Ginkel, Kevin De Bruyne and Oscar a whole world ahead of him in that department.
However - what the Englishman lacks in experience he makes up for in ability. He has a unique ability to spread the play from deep, the catalyst of all his sides transitions between defence and attack; a vital aspect of any team.
He experienced his best days at Chelsea under Carlo Ancelotti, making 17 first-team appearances at the age of just 17. But it seems he has gone from being one of England's hottest prospects to disappearing off the radar entirely.
There's no doubting McEachran's ability, but whether he'll ever be able to show what he has in his locker to Chelsea fans remains to be seen.
