Luka Modric is undoubtedly one of the best central midfielders in the world.
His ability to spray passes across the field is virtually unrivalled. He dictates the tempo of any game regardless of the opposition's size or skill. However, after a dismal first season at Real Madrid, Modric seems to be open to possibly making the move back to the Premier League - with Manchester United a likely target.
United have previously expressed interest in the player and seem to finally have a clear shot at him, with no other clubs reportedly angling to sign him. One thing is clear: Modric could be a game-changer.
Moyes needs a signing to quell the ranks of United fans growing more and more anxious due to the lack of concrete signings coming in at United as compared to immediate title rivals.
Modric will fill the void in midfield left by Paul Scholes and will offer an extra something going forward. I doubt any United fan has forgotten the stunner he hit to dump us out of the Champions League last year.
However, if he were to come, it would be time to forgive and forget because Modric could be the catalyst to the Premier League title. With Mourinho's return and City's frankly irresponsible spending, United need a force that will keep the sitting pretty on top - and Modric can definitely be that force.
Sure he may cost a lot, but in the long run, he's going to be worth it.
But this article is more for discussion purpose - leave a comment talking about whether or not you want Modric to join United and the reasoning behind this decision.
