Arsenal representatives may have come to an agreement with Gonzalo Higuain, but Real Madrid will not let the striker go so easily.
The Gunner's and Madrid are still trying to agree terms but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is not fond of the price-tag put on the Argentine.
Real Madrid have been holding firm on their €40m price tag and it has become clear that if Arsenal can not give up the money, Madrid will take their business else where.
Recently joining the race for Higuain, Napoli have plenty of money to spend on a new players after Edinson Cavani signing for PSG.
The chairman De Laurentiis has already confirmed that his club is in talks with Gonzalo.
On top of it all, a source close to Higuain confirmed that even Chelsea are looking into signing the French-born striker.
Although Jose Mourinho denies any link between his club and Higuain, the match seems to be made in heaven. The former Madrid manger knows very well of this striker's potential to make an impact, and he is definitely on the look to revamp their own team.
All of the speculation and rumours surrounding HIguain definitely gives Real Madrid plenty of leverage when trying to push up the price of the young striker.
A deal will probably take place near the end of the transfer window, as Madrid will look to squeeze every penny out of suitors. It seems that neither Madrid nor Higuain really mind where the player ends up, as long as the top dollar is given in return.
