In his time at Tottenham Hotspur, Gareth Bale has become one of the best players in the Premier League.

On his day, he is a world beater and he has over-and-over again rescued his team with a piece of magic that very few others could do.

Back when he was an 18-year-old left-sided defender at Southampton he made the decision to join Tottenham Hotspur over Manchester United.

This move has been fantastic for both him and his club and since then the Welshman has seemed to get better and better.

Now, however may be the perfect time to call an end to his Spurs career in search for a move to a bigger team and this is why.

Bale’s talent almost feels wasted fighting for a fourth place finish in the Premier League year in, year out, and seeing him in the Champions League against the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich would be something European football in general would benefit from.

He may understandably feel as though Tottenham can become as big as anyone in the near future but he simply cannot wait around for that to happen.

Recent reports have linked the 24-year-old with a £60 million move to current Premier League champions Manchester United and this is something that both Bale and Spurs should really think about.

Although Spurs will want to do everything they can to keep their star man, £60m is a huge amount of money that if spent well could benefit the club more than keeping Bale would.

If Bale wants to be recognised as one of the world’s best players he must soon leave Tottenham in search of the prospect of playing Champions League football sometime soon.

A £60m move to Manchester United could be exactly what the Welshman needs to really show just how good he can be.
