Tottenham are looking to strengthen their strikeforce with another Brazilian addition.
According to reports in Metro, Spurs are preparing a £7 million bid for Santos ace Neilton who, is dubbed as the new Neymar, in footballing quarters.
The Santos academy product has swiftly replaced the new Barcelona signing and has scored four goals in six appearances already for the Brazilian club.
One of the goals was a beauty scored in typical Neymar fashion beating the defender inside out. That goal has drawn comparisons to Neymar and the youngster has been closely tracked by Tottenham.
Andre Villas-Boas who, spent some time in Brazil following his Chelsea stint, is convinced that Neilton is the next big thing to come out of Brazil.
The youngster is comfortable playing on the wings as well as in centre can be a good choice for Tottenham. With age and time on his side he might be expected to take over the mantle from Gareth Bale as the clubs flag bearer, if he fulfils his talent and potential. Like Neymar and Bale, Neilton is also at his best while playing as a left winger/forward.
He is rumoured to have a buy-out clause in his contract and Spurs are currently looking in the complexities of securing a work permit.
Can Tottenham bring the 'New Neymar' to the Premier League?
