Luiz Gustavo set for Bayern Munich stay
Luiz Gustavo looks set to stay at Bayern Munich, despite interest from Arsenal & Chelsea
Chelsea and Arsenal target Luiz Gustavo is staying at Bayern Munich, according to his agent Roger Wittmann.
The midfielder was targeted by both Chelsea and Arsenal, after reports claimed that Pep Guardiola had no interest in him, but his agent has told the German TV station Sport1 that: "Guardiola would not send Luiz away."
Wittmann continued by saying: "There's nothing to it, I can't take it seriously anymore.
"Guardiola only knows him for one day, he's never seen him before."
Gustavo has only just come back from his holidays after the Confederations Cup, and was back in training at the treble winners on Thursday.
Gustavo delivered strong performances at the Confederations Cup, which he won with Brazil, leading to reports of interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.
However the 25-year-old, who joined Bayern from Hoffenheim in 2011, looks set to remain at Bayern for the time being and will look to impress Guardiola in the near future.
Missing out on the Brazilian international will come as a big blow to both Arsenal and Chelsea, who must now turn their attentions elsewhere.
