Van Bommel loses testimonial match 4-3

Mark Van Bommel pulled the curtain down on his career with a testimonial match between PSV Eindhoven and his 'friends' last night (Friday).

The Dutch legend pulled together a decent team of players past and present, with Wesley Sneijder, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Franck RIbery and Arjen Robben all playing for the 'legends'.

However, it was the Eredivisie outfit who were victorious at the Phillips Stadium, as they prepare for the Eredivisie season without the defensive-midfielder.

For the record, goals from Adam Maher, Memphis Depay (2) and Jurgen Locadia were enough to secure the win, with Robben, Dirk Kuyt and Luc Nillis scoring for the former Barcelona, Bayern Munich and AC Milan star's team.
