Tottenham Hotspur are said to have agreed a deal to sign FC Twente star Nacer Chadli.

The Belgian international arrived in London on Sunday to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms with Tottenham and should be announced as a Spurs player in the near future.

Chadli has been courted by Premier League teams throughout the summer, with Aston Villa and Swansea all credited with having an interest in the Belgian's services.

But Andre Villas-Boas acted quickest, firming up their interest in the 23-year-old with an official bid.

Chadli can operate on either flank and is a very versatile winger, he has fantastic agility and has fantastic technical ability, combined with flair and an eye for goal.

Chadli will join fellow Belgian teammates Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele on Spurs' pre-season tour once paperwork is completed and is expected to take part in at least one of AVB's pre-season friendlies.

Chadli first caught the eye when he scored in both Champions League group stage ties against Spurs.

But with the imminent arrival of Tottenham's third Belgian - Spurs fans should be very optimistic for the upcoming season.
