Arsenal left-back Andre Santos has signed for Flamengo, the Brazilian club has confirmed.
The Brazil left-back had a previous loan spell with Flamengo in 2005-06 whilst playing for Figueirense.
The 30-year-old full-back has won 24 caps for his country Brazil, and has previously been on a loan in his homeland with Gremio for the last half of the English Premier League last campaign.
However he has made a permanent move back to Brazil after signing with the Gunners in 2011.
Flamengo have announced that they have signed Santos on a free transfer, with Santos signing a two-year deal with the club.
Santos made the switch to the Premier League in 2011, replacing former left-back Gael Clichy who headed to Premier League club Manchester City.
Santos has struggled to break into the first team under Arsene Wegner since his arrival, with England left-back Kieran Gibbs seeing more time on the pitch than Santos.
The Gunners signed Nacho Monreal from Malaga in the recent January transfer window, to replace misfit Santos who secured a loan move to Gremio.
Santos moved to the Emirates Stadium from Turkish side Fenerbahce. Santos made 25 appearances for the Gunners in his two season, scoring only twice.
Santos' move to Flamengo could have been influenced by the fact that the player fell out with manager Wenger at Arsenal, with the Brazil full-back securing a move away from the Emirates, with the possibility of more first-team football.
