As Manchester United enjoy their tour before the competitive stages of the first campaign without Sir Alex Ferguson begins, some of United's youngsters are being given the opportunity to impress the manager.

One of those young stars is Wilfred Zaha.

Many believe Zaha has the ability to take a spot in the first team at some point during his first season for the club, and in his debut for Manchester United against the Singha All Star X, he showed why.

Although United were defeated 1-0, Zaha was brought on late in the second half and showed the fans several moments of brilliance. It looked as though the young Englishmen needed some time to adjust to the speed of United's game but once he did, he almost earned United a penalty and hit the post with a wonderful strike from just inside the penalty box.

Zaha looks prepared to take on the challenge of playing for such an ambitious club.

Although it could take time for him to adjust to the high standards of the Premier League, there is no doubt Zaha will improve and become a dangerous weapon in United's arsenal of gifted players.
