Wilfried Zaha may have only recently started training with his new Manchester United team-mates, but he has set his sights high for his first season at Old Trafford.
Talking to the club’s official website, he revealed: “I just want to be able to play regularly. That’s my goal for my first season in the Premier League.”
With competition from the likes of Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young and Nani, the winger will certainly have his work cut out. However, he is already relishing the opportunity to be training with such big-name players.
“In the changing room I’m sitting between Ryan Giggs and Danny Welbeck," he added. "I mean, I’m sitting next to these famous people who I watch all the time on TV. It’s just a dream to be able to play with them.”
The England international arrived permanently in Manchester after a successful promotion campaign with Crystal Palace, and has already been able to play with these players on the Red Devils' pre-season tour.
If the 20-year-old is nervous, then he certainly isn’t portraying it.
“I’m obviously here for a reason," he continued. "I worked hard at Palace to get the move I wanted and I just want to prove to people that I deserve to be here.
“I hope to score a goal on the tour. That would cap everything for me."
