The Catalan giants Barcelona are currently without a manager after it was confirmed that Tito Vilanova would not continue as coach next season.

The Blaugrana president Sandro Rosell mentioned that "Tito's treatment is incompatible with being their first team coach."

This leaves Barcelona in a spot of bother as not many coaches in the world are able to implement a style that suits the style of La Masia, which is how the current team knows how to play.

President Rosell and the rest of the board have a tough decision to make as to who will replace Vilanova and this will not be an easy thing to do.

They must appoint someone who is familiar with the style of Barcelona as well as someone who can command the dressing room with the many global stars in the Barcelona team.

There are many good options out there who could take up the reigns at the Camp Nou but winning in style is the Barcelona way and not all coaches can combine both.

One candidate that may fit in well at the Camp Nou is Michael Laudrup. The current Swansea City boss spent five seasons at the Catalan giants as a player and knows the system very well.

He is very much in the mould of Pep Guardiola before he took over from Frank Rijkaard in 2009. Laudrup is a young manager who is trying to make a name for himself and has shown that he is capable of playing very attacking and attractive football.

After being appointed manager of Swansea City in their second season in the Barclays Premier League, Laudrup didn't change the slick passing style played under Brendan Rodgers but he was able to get his team to be more creative, direct and with more imagination.

Barcelona plays their 'Tiki-Taka' football and at times it gets boring. This is where Laudrup can make it more fluent and dynamic. He can also choose to add something different to it that will make it more exciting and pleasing to the eyes. He will know exactly how to approach the situation because he knows the club very well.

Getting Laudrup to leave the Liberty Stadium should not be a difficult task for Sandro Rosell.

The prospect of working with the best players in the world should be enough to see Laudrup at the helm if he is indeed a target.

He is however, the perfect man to take over that the Camp Nou and so if the opportunity arises I'm sure Laudrup would grab it with both hands and try to make history with Barcelona.
