Gareth Bale, the Welsh international and Tottenham FC midfielder is one of the sought after players in the world.

2012/13 season saw him really break through the ranks and have his best ever year at the north London club, scoring 26 goals in 44 matches. Every top European club is monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation at Tottenham and would not hesitate to spend a huge sum to secure his services.

We look at the possible destinations Bale might choose if he decides to call time on his spell at Spurs.

Manchester United

Manager David Moyes has already stated that it is the midfield area that he is aiming to make some quality signings. Gareth Bale’s arrival would be a massive boost to the club and they are reportedly readying a bid of £60 million to secure his signature.

They have a long-standing interest in the player and United fans can feel optimistic as Bale might follow fellow Welshman and club veteran Ryan Giggs, who could have an instrumental role to play in convincing the player to join Old Trafford.

Real Madrid

The Madrid outfit are well known admirers of the prolific midfielder and club president earlier this summer declared that the club is very much interested in a player of his qualities.

They even made an inquiry about his availability and were stunned by the North London club’s asking price of a staggering £85 million.

Real Madrid already have spent big on players like Di Maria, Ozil and Kaka and unless they decide to part ways with at least two of them, there is no point in going for Gareth Bale and spending such a huge amount of money.

With the arrival of Isco from Malaga for £23 million,we might see Bale in Madrid colours in the 2014/15 season at the most if he remains at Tottenham for 2013/14.

FC Barcelona

The rise of Bale was noticed by all of the footballing world and one significant name that came up as a possible destination is FC Barcelona, one of the most successful football clubs in recent history.

It would indeed be a prestigious moment in the player’s career to dawn the Catalan outfit's colours.

With Bale’s ability to play in various positions in midfield,he can easily fit into the Barcelona style of gameplay.

It remains to be seen if they move in for the player after signing Neymar this season.

Paris Saint-Germain

Every top level player has been linked with a move to the French capital and Bale is no different. PSG have made some expensive signings and might not hesitate to splash the cash again if the situation demands.

Bale is set to have showdown talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy about his future at the club according to the Daily Star.

It remains to be seen if the Welshman stays at Tottenham or sets out for new challenge at a another club.
