Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik has declared the Scudetto a war with Juventus and hopes his side can take the title from Turin this season.
The Slovakian international spoke to fans during the club's pre-season training in Dimaro after their 5-1 win over Feralpi Salo.
"We all know the Scudetto is going to be war with Juventus and we hope to win it this season," said Hamsik.
Juventus secured their 29th Italian title in May this year, as they finished nine points ahead of Napoli, their closest challengers.
And it appears they have their sites firmly set on number 30 following the recent arrivals of high-profile strikers Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente along with central defender Angelo Ogbonna.
Hamsik is also excited at the prospect of playing Champions League football once again and has dreams of lifting the trophy.
"Playing in the Champions League is the ultimate for a player, so it would be extraordinary to win it," he added.
Despite the recent departure of star player Edinson Cavani, who joined PSG last week, Napoli fans are set for an exciting season as new boss Rafael Benitez looks to challenge for the league.
Following the arrivals of Raul Albiol and Jose Callejon from Real Madrid, the club look set to bring in goalkeeper Pepe Reina from Liverpool, as well news they have agreed a deal with Madrid for striker Gonzalo Higuain.
