Arsenal striker search: Who will they sign? (2)

Published 3 Comments

1. Gonzalo Higuain

Arsenal have been linked with many strikers recently, and first on their list was Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentine was tipped to make a £23m move to north London in June, but the move has never seemed to materialise.

The transfer was seemingly a few hours away according to many reports, but suddenly to move died off. This is apparently because Madrid are waiting to try to use the striker as a tempting swap-plus money-deal for Tottenham’s Gareth Bale; which should annoy all Arsenal fans alike.

Until Spurs even attempt to speak with Madrid, the deal has been agreed between Arsenal and the Spanish club, however nothing official seems to be appearing anywhere. This says that either Arsenal are trying to cough up spare coppers and pennies to pay for the deal, or someone has lost the pen Higuain needs to sign the dotted line.

Napoli now look set to complete the signing of Higuain.
