Marco Verratti’s agent has confirmed that several clubs are interested in signing his client from Paris Saint-Germain.
The midfielder has been linked with Real Madrid this summer, but according to Donato Di Campli, he could have a choice of more than one club should he choose to leave the French capital.
But Di Campli also said that he is not immediately looking for a transfer.
He said to Le10Sport: “He wants to stay in Paris and be treated like all the other players.”
“Of course, if he were to leave, then he’d be spoilt for choice. Clubs are lining up ready to pay any sum in order to sign him.”
The Italian international joined PSG from Pescara in July 2012 for a €15m fee on a five-year deal, and made 27 appearances on the way to helping them secure the Ligue 1 title last season, though he is yet to score for the club.
Negotiations over a new contract for the 20-year old have not yet taken place, and Di Campli is willing to be patient with the club’s Qatari owners.
“It has not been decided yet and it will take time because you have to negotiate, but this is not meant to be blackmailing to anyone,” he said.
