With plenty of activity in the transfer market this summer, we take a look at the transfers that have been questioned by some.
Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez to Monaco
Money certainly talks to these three players as they make their move to the south of France.
Falcao and Moutinho have been linked with the biggest clubs in world football while Rodriguez is a rising star. Surely this move will dampen his development.
Mark Schwarzer to Chelsea
Surely a one year stint at a Championship club or a swan song season in the A-League would have been a more fitting end to the Aussie goalkeeper's career. Instead the Middlesbrough and Fulham legend will spend his final season on the Chelsea bench.
Kevin Strootman to AS Roma
Bought in as a replacement of Daniele de Rossi yet he remains at the club. Also with all due respect Roma is not even amongst Italy's big four. This moves really makes no sense considering that Strootman turned down Manchester United before moving to Rome.
Nicolas Anelka to West Bromwich Albion
The Frenchman may still be a brilliant finisher yet Steve Clarke will have to spend next season looking for a striker due to his age.
Anelka's arrival should have been a last resort as surely West Brom have enough time to find another gem like last year's loan signing of Romelu Lukaku.
Christopher Samba to Anzhi Makhachkala
Yes he's back in Russia. After six months in England, Samba is back in Russia playing in front of fans that have racially abused him before.
The giant Congolese defender could have gone to a bigger club in order to enjoy more success yet he has opted for Anzhi who are now without legendary coach Gus Hiddink after his resignation.
