Fernando Llorente & Luca Antonini clash heads in friendly

Published 3 Comments

AC Milan defender Luca Antonini was stretchered off in a bloodied mess after an innocuous clash of heads with Juventus striker Fernando Llorente in last night's Trofeo TIM pre-season tournament.

The 30-year-old full-back came off worst in a 50-50 collision midway through the first-half of the all-Italian encounter, which Milan later won on penalties.

Antonini got in front of a charging Llorente to make a clearance, and was rewarded for his fine piece of defending with a nasty face-to-face collision that injured both players.

Llorente left the pitch with a bloody nose, but there was more concern over Antonini who, clearly shaken by the smash, was carried off on a stretcher whilst surrounded by numerous medical staff.

Watch footage of Fernando Llorente and Luca Antonini's coming together and nasty head injuries in the video below - with thanks to 101greatgoals.com - and feel free to share any other gruesome football wounds and lacerations in the comment box provided.
