Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard scored a fantastic goal against Melbourne Victory, as Brendan Rodgers' side ran out 2-0 winners in Australia.

Gerrard opened the scoring in the 32nd minute as he exchanged passes with Joe Allen before firing the ball past the 'keeper with relative ease.

Unsettled striker Luis Suarez was introduced in the 72nd minute, though question marks surround his future amid continued interest from Premier League rivals, Arsenal.

Iago Aspas scored the second for Liverpool in the 90th minute with a great assist provided by the want-away Suarez.

Liverpool are enjoying a great pre-season so far, with all of their players hitting good form.

The iconic club anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone' was sung by the crowd before the match on a memorable night for Liverpool, as they were greeted by 95,000 fans down under.

Gerrard's goal brought a huge roar from the vocal support, as the fans got a glimpse of their hero on 'home' soil.

The veteran England international looks in good shape ahead of the 2013/14 Premier League season, as Gerrard looks to put his injury troubles behind him.

Liverpool will now travel to Bangkok for the final match of their international tour.
